Assignment

In the world of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), a Web quest is one of the most fascinating applications for teachers. Student-centered and inquiry-based, a Web quest challenges students to explore the web for information. Rather than simply asking the students to research on a topic in irrelevant sites, the Web quest provides directed learning using a number of sites as sources of information.

By using Web quest, students become involved in knowledge construction by proposing solutions to a real life problem, situation, or authentic tasks. It helps them develop skills for living in a knowledge-based, highly technological society. By bringing real-life context and technology to the curriculum through a project-based learning approach, students are encouraged to become independent workers, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners. Web quest is not just a way of learning, but also a way for students to work together. If students learn to take responsibility for their own learning, they will form the basis for the way they will work with others in their adult life. Especially the teacher, they can easily teach the students and easily communicate and evaluate through web quest.

Yes, it will be very applicable in our country because as we perceive nowadays, teachers and even the students are exposed on the computer or shall we say on the modern technology. But it will not be suitable to the schools that are lack of necessities like computer especially in the public schools.

My Exam

"BIOLOGY"

Drill and practice software is usually related with behaviorism that focuses on gives practice that is already learn from the previous lesson, and this software takes over the teacher’s role and acts as a test master to give exercises to which the students are given to respond. It works like for example in “Question and Answer portion”. As you can see on my profile the links presents a question or problem first, and the student is asked to answer the question or problem. Then the computer gives instant response or comment to the students answer. It helps the students to master their logical thinking and develop their comprehension by doing at their own pace especially it is all about biology which is you need to understand carefully what it is all about. Tutorial software is more linked with the cognitive learning theory. It is a teaching conference spent individually or in a small group and used to allow students to learn the subject at their own pace, usually without any help of other people. It works like for example in my software that is shown on my profile. As you can see, the computer presents some questions that are related to the subject and asks the learner to reply the questions. Then if the student has difficulties answering questions, the computer may well present helpful instructions. Especially my topic is all about biology which is you need to know the new info. about science of life and it is very important to those students who are passive learner because it helps them to enhance their thinking skills and can easily comprehend the topic and can freely ask questions at anytime and it can also develop their communication and reasoning skills. Mediatization of the youth

Mediatization of the Youth
Rev. Fr. Christian Buenafe OCD

  • Cellphone… strictness sense of cellular phone or cellphone. Can you imagine...

what life would be if cellphones did not exist? No more fast communications, no more instant entertainments, and no abrupt information’s. Were all waiting for a long time before we got it. Too many seconds, minutes, hours or even days would be wasted to bring forth messages and stuffs.

People, nowadays, are exposed to devices that add their satisfactions of their lives. One of those is the cellphone- the most reliable giver and receiver of recent issues. It is the most widely used communication device. In fact, Philippines is known as the “Texting Capital” of the world because of the very strong influence in each life. It is very economical and easy to use, salable. As there are always innovations for improvement, some cellphones are already cheap. Yes! It is still improving for human needs and wants. But sad to say, advantages are also accompanied with disadvantages. People are prone to spelling problems. Instead of texting “I love you”, it is already considered as “I luv u”. Another is “I hate you”, turns to “I h8 u”. The main reason is for shortcuts and easy typing.

Remember, this is not always good. You should think first the consequences before doing it so.

  • In my view the best example of contribution of computer technology in media is...

the internet, because as we notice nowadays, internet is the major source of all information’s that we can get everyday, every hour, every minute; also because of this internet, media has a big role or shall we say very important in our society especially in our daily lifestyle, such as computer, because of computer we can easily manipulate the work in our daily lifestyle, and can easily get more informations just to type something, someone we want to know in the internet.

  • Media is the most powerful for...

modernizing the youth's culture and the strongest man-made force that can influence people. Yes! It is true that media affects everything especially education. For instance the television, many youths are influenced or shall we say affected by their values and behaviors. Like the advertisement of shampoos endorsed by biggest celebrities such as Angel Locsin and Judy Ann Santos is rampant. We noticed that youths are imitating the shampoo of their favorite artist. Another is the computer. Youths are addicted in friendsters, chats, games, etc. media has a big impact in education that can influenced many of youths today even the children. It depends on how the institutions used media in a good way or in a bad way.

  • The painting of Joey Velasco which is the “Hapag ng Pag-asa”...

represents the circumstances of different kinds of children. Children that have no family to care them, to love them; children that lack in needs such as nutritious food, clothing, housing and clean water. On their status it would be very impossible to achieve early childhood education because of poverty. Instead of playing, learning, relaxing, they reserve their pastime in helping their parents.
